My contributions to Pacific WOCE are datasets collected both prior to and during WOCE.

Significant observations were made during the Western Equatorial Pacific Ocean Circulation Studies (WEPOCS) which took place from 1985-1988. These datasets are freely available via the internet, and include shipboard hydrographic observations (CTD, ADCP, thermosalinograph, met). Additional hydrographic observations in this region were made during the TOGA Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response Experiment (COARE). These, too, are freely available on-line.

Observations made specifically for WOCE purposes are the time-series hydrographic data collected approximately monthly at the Hawaii Ocean Time-series (HOT) deep water site at 22°45'N, 158°W, north of Oahu. (Additional observations were made during each cruise at a "coastal" site in 1500 m west of Oahu.) These observations (1988 through 1995) are on-line and are freely available over the WWW (http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/HOT_WOCE/). Results of our analyses of these data are also available from this web site.

I will be pleased to discuss potential collaborative analyses of these data with interested colleagues during the Workshop. I will be at the workshop for the first 2 1/2 days.
