Currently, project manager for WOCE data and metadata management. Primary tasks are to acquire, evaluate, document, and archive data through UNIX, using the SGI platform. The National Oceanographic Data Center is the home of WDC-A, a permanent archive for such WOCE data sets as subsurface float, current meter, surface drifter, sealevel, ADCP, and hydrographic. NODC works through the appropriate DACs (data assembly centers) for retrieval of data and resolution of any data discrepancies.
